Lionel Bird Youth Camp Award 

Regulations

The Lion Lionel Bird Youth Camp Award is named for a true gentleman, Lionel Bird. We wish to honour an outstanding Lion from Cremona Lions Club who was the generous donor of the land upon which stands the District C – 2  Lions Youth Camp.
The purpose of the award is to acknowledge this gentleman’s contribution to Youth and to enable Clubs in the District to make donations to the Camp at the same time as they honour any of their members (or others) who have made significant contributions to the advancement and well-being of Youth in the community.

Cost

One Award is $500 CDN. No partial amounts will accumulate towards the award.  A Club, Corporation or Individual may purchase the award.

Use of Funds

All monies collected after the expense of the award shall be used for the District C – 2  Youth Camp for either general operating expense, capital improvements or for future use as the Youth Camp Committee may designate. The overriding purpose is that the funds will be used to perpetuate Lionel’s legacy.

Type of Award

Each Lionel Bird Youth Camp Award will be given a certificate showing the name of the recipient and the date presented. The recipient will also be presented with a commemorative pin.

Recipient

The award may be given to any adult male or female, Lion or non-Lion.
