LIONS YOUTH CAMP DONATIONS
Some of the things that we have accomplished at the Lions Youth Camp over the last several years thanks to donation from the Lions Clubs of District C-2
We have installed a ’French Drain’ weeping tile system with a new catch basin and installed a protective membrane on the exterior of the west wall of the Main Hall to resolve an issue of the Main Hall flooding in the springs of 2018, 2019, and 2020. We also installed a recycled plastic lumber walkway over the new drain system. This upgrade cost us $10,100.00.
New Windows
We have purchased and installed new windows in Cabins 1 to 8 at a cost of $13,173.30. The windows in Cabin 9 were newer vinyl windows and in good shape.
We have also purchased and installed new vinyl plank laminate flooring with rubber baseboards in all 9 cabins at a cost of $13,910.54. This flooring makes all the cabins appear the same inside and much easier to clean.
New Cabin Heaters
We also have installed new energy efficient gas heaters in all nine cabins at cost of $29,221.26, to replace the old costly and inefficient electric heaters. With the excess cost of electricity, and the stable reasonable cost of Natural Gas, we are anticipating considerable savings in the cost of heating the Cabins this winter.
We also have replaced the old gas heater in the Main Hall with a new energy efficient unit at a cost of $5,980.00
